Well, we've started the packing process, so that's good. I still have to pack some more casual clothing and toiletries, but a bunch of things have to wait until the last minute (toothbrush, laptop, etc.). I'm nervous that I won't be able to get everything done that I need to before we leave. This was a good weekend though. Josh didn't have to work, so I got to spend time with him, which was really nice.

On Saturday we did some odds and ends shopping at Walmart and Target. I was hoping to get Grant a tricycle for his birthday, but we couldn't find a good one. We went to the LI Ducks game in the evening with mom and Grant and Giuliette. They lost, but it was a good game. We went to Steve's house afterwards, and I had a bit too much sangria. So we slept in a little this morning before packing.

This afternoon Josh's parents took us to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which I enjoyed. It wasn't a great movie, but it had some good scenes and was truer to the book than the Gene Wilder version. It was VERY Tim Burton-esque.

On our way to the movie theater Josh and I saw three kittens laying out near the dumpsters at the end of the street. They were obviously brothers/sisters, two orange and white kitties and one grey and white one. I wanted to scoop them up and take them home, but we figured they probably have a system now where they're eating out of the garbage area. They didn't look malnourished or anything, and must have been a couple of months old. I'm going to keep my eyes open for them though. Poor kittens. I don't know how people can put them out like that.

OK, I need to get to bed.
